RecycleCheck ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used.
Information We Collect
- The App does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The only data processed is: Photos you take or select from your photo library, which are sent to Google Gemini AI for recyclability analysis
- Zip code you optionally enter, which is sent alongside the photo to provide locally relevant recycling guidance
How Your Data Is Used
Photos and zip codes are sent solely to analyze recyclability. They are not stored, sold, or shared with any third party other than Google Gemini for the purpose of analysis.
Third-Party Services
RecycleCheck uses Google Gemini AI to analyze images. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by their service and can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Data Retention
RecycleCheck does not retain any photos or personal data. Images are transmitted for analysis and immediately discarded.
Children's Privacy
RecycleCheck does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
